Sunday Soiree | All The Pretty Paper {less}

With all of the party-throwing we know you love to do, sometimes a fete calls for a way to invite lots of  your friends all at once. Enter the email invite (otherwise known as the Evite). For parties with a less formal intent (read: you're still not allowed to email wedding invitations), sometimes a fun, easy invitation to relay all of the details of your dinner party is just what the cocktails ordered.

If you're anything like us, even an email invitation needs to have style about it, and Kate Spade has come to our rescue, once again, with their Paperless Post line:

These little ditties are less than $.50 each and are a fabulous way to throw a stylish, carefree party while staying true to you.

Weekend Notes

Can you believe we are already to the end of September?? The Halloween stores are already popping up, and our Pinterest boards are noticing a comfort food theme. As we close out September we look forward to a month changing leaves, brisk morning walks, and days filled with design meetings- we love the fall mostly for this reason! Tis the season to begin planning and designing for the up and coming weddings and events. And what better way to spend the time than with cold days and extra dry cappuccinos (insert favorite Starbucks Drink here)?

A few links around the web to head into the weekend, and some notes you may have missed this week..

Stephanie made our mouths water with this S'mores tarte recipe for her Sunday Soiree...

This Pantone Party was super cute and colorful.

A helpful reminder if you cringe at the thought of Mondays..

You know we're suckers for succulents...

And finally, to sign off on this lovely weekend, a quick sneak peek of our true, Southern wedding this weekend at this sweet little barn in McCall, Idaho:

Lifestyle | Pretty Organization

With each season change I always feel the need to organize and straighten up my home. It's so important to have a welcoming, serene space to relax and recharge. Most of us have limited counter space, and a dresser or night stand covered in clutter hardly makes for nice feng-shui.

While perusing the web I keep stumbling across this idea of using cake stands and pedestals to create pretty displays with personal items. I have even seen some crafty individuals make their own by adhering candle sticks to a plate or platter of their choosing. If you're feeling extra crafty you can paint your custom made pedestal to create a pop of color. I'm particularly loving these beautiful bottles and handy kitchen soap displays from thedecorologist.com. So next time you're struggling to hide all your nail polishes or beauty products in a tight medicine cabinet, whip out a cake stand or two and have some fun creating a unique display. Happy organizing!

Kate Spade Inspired

Who doesn't love a little Kate Spade in their lives? The whole brand is sophisticated yet quirky with pops of color while still standing the test of time. Kim's inspiration board this week is an ode to the world of Spades...and has a lovely color palette to boot!

We are starting out another busy week with the shades of this adorable birthday party- a Pantone party featured over at dessert guru Amy Atlas. It's a perfect mix of color for the youngsters, but still sophisticated. We loved it!

Sunday Soiree-Mini S'mores Tarts

September-cool nights, hot days, and the the end of all things Summer.  In today's Sunday Soiree, a favorite campfire treat gets a cute little makeover in the form of mini s'mores tarts.

Whether you're busy this weekend planning your upcoming wedding, cheering on your team at the kickoff of football season, or getting your kids ready for school, we hope you take time out to whip up some of these tasty tarts! You can find the full recipe here: http://www.loveandoliveoil.com/2012/09/mini-smores-tarts.html#

P.S. Don't let the sight of the torched topping scare you off, the recipe says you can just as easily set them under the broiler:) Happy Sunday from Stephanie and the rest of the Soiree team!

Weekend Notes

With September almost over, we can say we've had quite the eventful month. With two McCall weddings coming up next week, we're gearing up again for another whirlwind that we affectionately call wedding week. Even with all the goings-on that we've been a part of this month, we haven't been so busy to avoid catching some inspiring things from around the web. With that, we hope you have a fabulous weekend- enjoy the summer-like weather! Ps: we'll be at the St. Luke's Women's Celebration tomorrow- if you see us, come say hi!

Some lovelies you may have missed:

We swooned over this Rustic Ojai Wedding featured on Once Wed- so perfect for fall inspiration. We featured her gorgeous green and brown leafy bouquet, but be sure to check out the whole event for more prettiness than we can handle.

We introduced our new fall intern Kelly yesterday, as well as shared a little beach inspiration. Anyone going to a more exotic locale for the holidays?

Some tidbits we loved from around the web:

Loved this post on Camillestyles.com about arranging and thinking outside of the box for your in-home bar.

Thinksplendid.com featured an awesome interview with Nordstrom's Bridal Director- interesting tidbits about the bridal industry as a whole and how the brand goes about forecasting upcoming trends.

Introducing.....

We are thrilled to introduce our Fall intern, Kelly Moores! Kelly is originally from Florida, so we thought it was a perfect way to lead into her vision of what would be a vintage beach wedding. And while we love the soft colors and warmth of the inspiration board below, what we really can't wait for is her upcoming December wedding this year! Congrats Kelly, and welcome aboard!

With Fall around the corner, we're loving all of the patterns, prints, and color combinations that can be used to really welcome the season. This week we're loving this tribla/batik print- would love to see it in a scarf, pillows added to your couch, or even on napkins for a late summer dinner party- alfresco.

Citrine | Bone | Marine | Magenta

Every once in a while we dream about how we would either re-do our weddings with all of the resources available today, and some of us just continually "plan" their weddings-to-be. This week, Kim's inspiration board is all about what she's loving now for her wedding. No, she's not planning one anytime soon, but a girl needs to dream, right?

What do you think about Kim's would-be wedding?

Big News Ahead....

Today is a special day for us on the blog- one we've been waiting on for a while. See, the Soirettes have a little secret that we've all known about for several months now, and we're finally sharing it with all of you now.

Big news...we found out in early July that I am pregnant with baby #2! {Baby Soirette} is due to make his/her debut sometime in March 2013...so close yet so far away. Many thanks to the Ampersand girls for the first of the "bun in the oven" photos:

With the big news we'll also be introducing some new series and features on the blog...including all things nesting (we know you brides are doing your own form of nesting- you're making a new home now with your sweetie!), as well as keeping you all in the loop as our little Soiree family grows.

~Happy Tuesday!

Inspiring Photo No. 54

Fall is near! We've finally made it to September, and even though Boise weather still has her summer clothes unpacked, we have a feeling sweaters and changing leaves will be around the corner. In honor of one of our favorite seasons and our September weddings, we loved this bouquet- perfect for a late summer or fall wedding. We can see the changes in decor and style of the weddings coming up this month, so tell us, what fall accents are you incorporating into your wedding?
