Charlie and Tawna were married last Saturday at Tawna's family home in Nampa. We were so worried that the summer storm every weather channel was calling for would rudely make her appearance, but much to our excitement the day turned out to be absolutely gorgeous.
Soiree was the Day of Coordinator for the couple's event, and when their package started we still had a blank canvas to work with- theme, centerpieces, and even colors were still yet to be determined. Tawna gave me full discretion over the centerpieces, aisle, and altar decor, and it was a blast shopping for what we determined to be our "Rustic Modern" theme of the wedding.
Drawing from Tawna's base colors- Clover and Chocolate, we added a pop of orange and peach with poppies and gerbera daisies..the look was stunning against all the grass on the property, and added a sunny, summery feel.
To bring in our chocolate and to also decorate on a budget we bought curly willow for the centerpieces and bulk coffee beans to fill the vases and the hanging votive holders for the aisle. All night long the guests were caught smelling the centerpieces- the entire tent smelled delicious ;)
A cluster of poppies to mark the beginning of the aisle.
Each hanging votive was filled with coffee beans and had a single poppy inside, and for a little bit of whimsy we created "bouquets" of gerbera daisies at the base of each shepherd's hook.
The cocktail tables lined up on the front patio, over looking the city. Told you it was a beautiful day!
A single poppy wired on to a piece of curly willow created a simple, stunning centerpiece for the cocktail tables.
A close up of one of the curly willow centerpieces as set up in the tent began.
The bride's father was ordained for the ceremony, and that coupled with beautiful weather, gorgeous details, and good company, it truly was a wedding to remember. Congratulations Charlie and Tawna!
